To Our Membership: It is a difficult task to follow such great presidents before me, although I am honored with the task of working with such a great chapter. The most recent years have been fantastic and it all culminated with being awarded “Chapter of the Year” in 2007. I think it is truly an amazing accomplishment and something we should all be proud of. I congratulate Derick on a very successful year and thank all of the board members as well as the membership for all of the support in making all of this possible. While 2007 is definitely a tough act to follow, we have a lot of things to accomplish in 2008. As some of you know, we awarded two scholarships last year and our mission is to continue growing the scholarship program. Our golf tournament is growing every year and has been excellent in building relationships and has provided us some financial flexibility to offer larger scholarships. We have a great list of programs this year that will continue to keep our membership on the forefront of cutting edge technologies, products, and developments in concrete repair. We also have some new faces on our board this year and look forward to their input. I feel that it is the changing faces with new ideas and insight that keep our chapter great for years to come. Please feel free to offer any ideas or thoughts on how we can further improve our chapter for our membership. Our goal is to repeat as Chapter of the Year in 2008 and to accomplish this we need everyone’s help and input. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s time and support and look forward to a great 2008.
