March 30, 2009 ICRI continues to grow in membership. We had a successful Fall Convention in St. Louis, MO with over 275 in attendance. The weather was nice fall weather and the location of the hotel was overlooking the ARCH and waterfront. The dining from the 28th floor revolving restaurant was spectacular. The Awards banquet was well attended with 150 members and spouses. We are an Outstanding Chapter again for 2007-2008; congratulations for our hard working chapter officers. The Certification Committee is working on the new program for certifying Concrete Repair Testing Technicians and another for Slab Moisture Testing Technicians. The Slab Moisture Testing Technician program will be evaluated at the Spring Convention. We hope to have them up and running by 2010. They will be similar to ACI Certification programs. You can now access the 2009 Awards forms on the web site www.icri.org. The deadline is May 1, 2009 for entries. We need more entries from the southeast area so please plan on entering your project and with our local awards program that parallels the National Awards program, lets get busy. We had 84 entries this past year on the National level. The Spring Convention will be in Minneapolis, MN on April 23 rd and 24th, 2009 at the Hilton Hotel. Our own Chuck Knight is doing a great job representing us on the National Board and will be President–Elect this year. We need more local people to get involved with the
