Mark will cover the following items during his presentation: Masonry repair is a timely topic for today as more and more facility owners and managers either face the task of maintaining older existing structures or want to incorporate existing structures in future construction plans. Architects as well as practitioners of building renovation and historic restoration can benefit from this discussion as masonry from both past and present faces challenges from the elements. The discussion will focus on three questions: 1) Why masonry repairs fail? 2) How long masonry repairs should last? And 3) How long are masonry repair warranties” Examples of masonry and concrete failure will be shown, proper techniques will be demonstrated.
